Exhibition: Corpus Domini. Dal corpo glorioso alle rovine dell’anima
Curated by Francesca Alfano Miglietti
An exhibition with a strong visual impact and profound intellectual suggestions, an itinerary designed to show how the way of representing the body has changed over the last fifty years. The project is the result of in-depth art-historical research that finds its roots in the work of Lea Vergine, who died a year ago, and to whom the first room of the exhibition is dedicated. Francesca Alfano Miglietti curated the exhibition, involving 34 artists with 111 works, developing a story that starts with the legacy of body art, where the body was so present that it became a talking canvas, and ends with the disappearance of its physicality, leaving space only for the movement of the soul.
