Curated by: Begüm Güney
The talk of any equality is a sure sign of the existence of an inequality in the current order.
In the exhibition Hayal –I Alem, as a storyteller, Canan traces the social in forms that cannot be determined by social norms; presents us with fairy-tale heroes created from beings who are accepted by the soul above the body, who have no proof of their existence. With the belief of that it mediates the realization of all the tales, legends and stories told with an intuition that has so far turned bad into the good, Canan believes in the healing power of image. Hayal-i alem exhibition bears astounding freedom with its boldness and prowess. Because according to Canan, the solution of social issues can only be achieved through individual liberation.
